What do these three things have in common? They are: (in order from L to R) a dry erase marker, a lighter, and a giant hairball.
These three things were found today in the rubber gasket of my 'new' washing machine! This is the 'after'. The brown stains are rust from the lighter. Probably been in there for at least 2 years. I am a weirdo about my appliances. I wipe my washer and dryer down pretty often, I can't stand drippy soap leftovers or extra lint hanging around. When we bought the house we negotiated all the appliances in, for $1!! I was excited b/c these are some nice Kenmore appliances, I would probably never buy for myself . Me:(pulling back the gasket thing) SICK. This is DISGUSTING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS.

I have to say, this was disgusting, but kind of satisfying in a weird way. It's too bad that Mindy C. didn't do this before, because then my lovely washer wouldn't have rust stains. Also wish she would have refrained from putting vertical blinds on every single window in this house.
