Cougar's first haircut!

Boating at lake Saguaro, so beautiful. I can't get enough of the saguaros growing on the tiniest little ledges.

Jonah and Eli selfies at church! We try to get there 30 min early to get a spot up in the soft seats, quite a bit different than going to church in the UK!

Sunday dinner with Paul and Jane and Brooklyn!

Memorial Day Boating - couldn't wait to go again!

May 12-18 2014

Last two weeks of the 2014 school year! We are loving our little Surrey girl. So cuddly and soft. She is doing great now that we got the same cat food that she had before.

Giant Slip and Slide for the Cub Scouts

CJL and I took a quick road trip to Las Vegas to meet Brandon Lee with the boat. We stopped at Hoover Dam, which was amazing!

Lake Mead

We walked down the strip, bought tickets for Love and then went to a mall where I realised that my new shoes were rubbing on my heels and bleeding. That hurt, and then we went to Cheesecake Factory. Then walked to the MGM for Love. The best part was the guy behind us who was so stoned and so into it. THAT WAS UNREAL!

Woke up Sunday and then. Then. Then... we experienced Blueberry Hill's cinnamon swirl pancakes. I will never be the same. Thank you to Dana Faraoni for telling us about this place.

Sunday was church, a stop at the temple, owies on the back of my feet so I wore church shoes all day, and mission stories at Bill Wells house. And then grabbed the boat from Brandon. Happy to be heading back home!

The End.

May 5-11, 2014

We enjoyed this week with Sandy still staying with us! Ethan and Curtis went to Science Camp with Hale 6th Graders up near Payson. They had a great time. When they came back we had a new fuzzy  little baby in the house! It was a good thing that Sandy was here, because this little cat was not thriving at our house. She hardly ate anything, and was really lethargic. She sure is cute though. We named her Surrey. She is back with her mama for a little while, hopefully by Tuesday she'll be ready to come keep Cougar company!

Grandy knows all when it comes to kittens
Janie was Surrey's keeper

Wednesday I went to Butterfly World with Hale 2nd Graders. It was amazing! Their conservatory is filled with gorgeous butterflies, and humid air, which felt really nice to breathe for a little while!

On Thursday Janie had her Mother's Day program for preschool. It was adorable. The kids sang many songs, with actions, and had gifts for their moms. And then we had salads and desserts! Grandy got to come- it was super cute!

In my pretty garden the flowers are nodding

Janie was so excited- she loves giving gifts!

On Saturday we went to breakfast with Paul, Jane and Grandy

Sandy left on Saturday afternoon. We had a great time while she was here, and miss her already!

Mother's Day 2014

Mother's Day Treasures
It took 5 minutes and a guilt trip to get these kids to put their arms around each other!
But Sadie had slept in

I really really love Mother's Day. I woke up to a nice breakfast of pancakes made by Ethan, ham, and doughnuts. Everybody had put their little treasures they had made in the kitchen table for me. These little cards, poems, and gifts are my favourite things ever.  Sacrament Meeting was beautiful with some lovely tributes to mothers and the primary kids sang, and the youth also sang. Ethan didn't sing with the primary kids this year, and as they were walking up he mouthed "Mom, record it!" I laughed. We don't take pictures or record things in the chapel at church, but this kid was thinking of how much I love watching my little ones! What a sweet guy. The best part of the meeting was at the end, when Sadie started patting my boobs. Then she started saying over and over again: "Mom, I want to see your BUMPS!!" I mean she said it like 20 times, and was almost yelling it! She tried to look down my shirt a few times, but for some reason I didn't want to take my shirt off in the middle of sacrament meeting and show of my bumps…! Finally I took her out to the foyer, where she kept going on her tirade- I tried to explain for the 50th time that she couldn't see my bumps at church! So she pulled her dress way over her head and said:  "I WANT  TO SEE YOUR BUMPS because mine are SOOOOO TINY!" I am not making this up:)

Sadie is a sweet girl! With tiny bumps!!!

Eli wrote the sweetest poem for me this year.

Kissy face Bear Strikes again!!!

Janie gave me her gifts earlier this week at her Mother's Day program at school- but so generously re-gifted me a Sofia the first beach towel at breakfast!

Ethan made some delicious pancakes and also wrote me a sweet note that said 'lots of lovinsins"

Sadie's hair turned out so cute today, even with her side mullet haircut that she gave herself a few weeks ago!

Oh man I kissed that neck today! Too delicious!

And of course my 6th child Cougar… because Jonah is adamant that "He's my BROTHER!"

Dinner outside- corned beef, corn on the cob, cheesy potatoes, and rolls, all made so well by CJL!
