Slagowski's and Grandy and Grumpy Time

This was such a super fun and crazy week! Noelle, Josh, Milo and Ari drove down for a visit! And it just to happened that Grandy and Grumpy were coming too! We had so much fun with everyone here. We had family meals, swimming, and youtube watching sessions. And malts.

We tried our best, but these kids did not were not into getting pictures taken.

I was honored to accompany Eli on a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo on Friday

And we are apparently the owners of a golf cart!

Good times with Grandy and Grumpy

House Projects April 2014

This is 3429 East Jasmine Circle. Curtis did an online search on a Friday morning after we had looked at everything (it seemed like!) within our price range in the whole valley! This was a week we had to look at homes last October, and we had looked all week and had found a couple of homes that were possibilities, but they needed alot of work. As we were looking at this house, we knew this was perfect. And more than that, we felt like this was the house, neighbourhood, community where our family was meant to be. We have bought and sold many homes, and really felt blessed to live in each one. This one    we really felt the hand of the Lord guiding us to this place. We love it. This is home.

And this is after a little paint! Or actually quite alot of paint.

And another project that we weren't really planning, but I couldn't in good faith hang anything on this gold/maroon/black wallpaper that lined the hallway and foyer. So here we have a hot mess going on with hopes that we can pick a colour (AHHH!) and be able to hang pictures up soon!

And here is little Cougar. Who knew having a dog could be so much fun? I love having this little dude around. He makes us laugh and who can get mad at that face no matter how many dirty clothes he steals and drags away to chew on with his little baby teeth. He cocks his head when he is trying to figure out what we want him to do. He also will attack your head if you are sleeping on the floor. Just ask Sadie and Paul!

Milestones for Ethan

Sunday April 27th was a special day for Ethan. He was ordained to the Aaronic Priesthood by Curtis, along with Grumpy, Josh, and Paul, and Bishop Callister standing in the circle. He also passed the Sacrament for the first time, and bore his testimony in fast and testimony meeting. He said that he felt awkward passing the sacrament. After he sat down, a few other ward members stood and reached out to Ethan and said that they have felt awkward too at church. Our family is so blessed to be in a ward that is so supportive. I really felt that Sunday. I love this Ethan boy, he is so cute and has a funny side that gets me giggling. I am so proud and also astounded that we have a son that is 12 years old!
