Family Pictures

Selena took our family pictures again this fall, on a beautiful day in October. She did a great job, we had just a bit of complaining, but some cute cute shots of the kids!

Janie Kate is 2!

Janie Kate at two! She loves lasagna, spaghetti, nak naks (snacks), gum, babies and anything pink. She also loves to sit on my lap, which is a challenge because my lap is getting smaller and smaller! Janie likes to get into my eyeshadow and put it on, and she loves to put on lotion (rubs it into her hair every time). Also, she gets so excited to wear dresses on Sunday, she just laughs a delighted little laugh whenever she sees a dress, or blanket, or something of hers around the house. Janie is always on the move. She gets up and down from her chair at dinner time countless times, usually with her hands and face covered with food, and then will come back and climb on my lap, which is where she usually ends up. She despises being buckled into anything, including just today, her seatbelt in the car! Janie is a little helper and has started setting the table when I am making dinner, all by herself! She can also help empty the silverware from the dishwasher like a pro. At dinner time, one of the boys will shout out: "Who wants hair on their chest?" and they will all raise their hands, and of course Janie raises her hands too and then everybody starts belly laughing. Another funny dinner time antic is that Curtis will imitate Janie's steady stream of funny, garbled words, and everyone just busts up. Janie loves her cousins Sofi and Lola (Lala), and Auntie Kim, and Grumpy and Grandy. She also likes our neighbor AJ and our other neighbor Julia. Eli is her special brother who will play with her and not say a word of complaint!

Blowing out the candles with alot of help from all her brothers and cousins!

Janie's b-day fell on a Sunday this year, and it was fun to have the LaClaire's and Sinjem's over for the celebration. Janie's cake turned out really cute, it was strawberry vanilla cake layered with vanilla cream, it was delish! And I made flower cupcakes for all of the kids, they disappeared fast! Janie got some really cute gifts, a baby swing and a baby high chair, a new pink bike, and a pretty purse with sunglasses that she wears around upside down. We are all in love with this special 2 year old girl!

September 13th

Was a Monday this year... I made my favorite homemade German Chocolate cake, and Sandy came over so me and my love could go to dinner. I think I am 33 now, although it could be 32,or 27.
