Jonah is 5!

Sweet Jo and Daddy
Jonah is so cute and so much fun these days. I think 4 is one of my favorite ages. I think he is getting a little more stubborn at 5. Jonah is my kissy snuggler. He is always the first one up in the morning and he wakes me up with a kiss on the lips or hand or arm or whatever is closest to him. He will also get into bed with me and fall asleep for another hour which is the best, especially if Janie isn't up yet. Jonah has been the sweetest, most obedient 4 year old, he loves to play with Janie and make up songs for her. He has a special language and game called "Doodi Sawn" that he plays with Janie and Eli. It is a crack up to hear him say these convoluted words and songs while he clenches his teeth. What I can remember off the top of my head:
"Annec got a little trouble from her friends
Then she wanted too
the imperation the piece of the language
Annec pease"
(Annec means Janie)
Jonah has a really vivid imagination and frequently wakes up with bad dreams, or just crying and won't stop. We try to wake him up and calm him down, and sometimes that works, but other nights he will just wake up several times crying. Hopefully he will continue to grow out of it.
This summer Jonah inherited a new bike, because Ethan won a bike at Safety Camp. The new bike didn't have training wheels, so after stressing out about no training wheels for 2 days of so, he slowly started getting on and riding for a short distance down he street. He has to straighten the wheels up every tine he gets on, but he is dang good at riding his bike now. And he is an expert at riding his scooter. He can get going so fast and doesn't hesitate over bumps or our jump out front. It is adorable to see him crouch down on his little razor.
Also Jonah loves meat. And he calls all meat chicken. He is still Mr. Social at church and has tons of friends and after Sacrament Meeting he has an agenda of who he has to say hi to before he goes to Primary. Spencer Lee, Reagan Lapicola, and Brooklyn Pollman are his good friends.
Happy 5th Birthday Jo!

My girls used to wake up at night like that. They were having night terrors. Do you think that is what it is? You can't knock them out of it when it is happening. It is a very normal part of childhood for kids.
